Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using TranscriptMe ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of service
TranscriptMe is a SaaS platform that transforms unstructured data — WhatsApp chat exports, cloud documents, and media files — into searchable, AI-powered knowledge bases. The Service includes text extraction, audio transcription, media description, and natural language Q&A over your imported content.
3. Account registration
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
4. Your content
You retain all ownership rights to the content you import into TranscriptMe. By importing content, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and index that content solely to provide the Service to you.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to import and process the content you upload. For group chat exports, this means you should have the consent of participants or a legitimate basis for processing under applicable law.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
- Upload content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Share your account credentials with third parties.
- Use the Service to process content without appropriate consent from data subjects.
6. Pricing and billing
The Service offers free and paid plans. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. You can cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. Price changes do not affect your current billing period.
7. AI processing disclaimer
The Service uses third-party AI APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI) to process your content. AI-generated outputs (summaries, transcriptions, descriptions, chat answers) are provided "as is" and may contain inaccuracies. You should not rely on AI outputs as the sole source of truth for critical decisions.
8. Service availability
We aim to provide reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned downtime.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TranscriptMe and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claims related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting hello@transcriptme.com. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by a notice on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Brazil.
